Full Moon in Libra April 2017 || Mandala Soul Designs

“Nourish yourself in a way that helps you blossom in the direction you want to go. You are worth the effort.” – Deborah Day

Libra is all about balance, harmony, love, compassion and relationships. And the Full Moon is a potent time for release.

Whether you believe in the power of the Moon & her cycles or not….anytime is a good time for letting go and releasing all that is holding us back or no longer working, right?….so why not try this around a Full Moon? :))

The message for this Full Moon in Libra is to be more compassionate & loving towards others, but also towards yourself. Making sure you are ok and well looked after is priority number one. Always!

I know we hear this one ALL the time….but that’s because it’s harder to actually implement and do on a regular basis…Which I’m so quilty of!! So we need reminding (or is it just me?!)

…and then we have retrograding planets! FIVE of them! Although they do get a bad rap, it is also a great time to really go deep and re-think and declutter internally as well as externally.

There is a lot of frustrating energy in the air – feelings of going nowhere fast. Stuff (mostly things we’ve kept hidden or ignored) keep coming to the surface. But it’s there for us to sort out.

NOW is the time to really dig deep. But be mindful and don’t throw judgements around as you excavate your murky sludge into to the sun and light to illuminate the treasures hidden there or what is needed to be cast away forever… :)

We all try the best we can with what we have and know, right now. It might not be to everyone’s expectations. But as long as we’re giving it our best go…hey that’s pretty bloody great!

Great questions to ask this retrograding period & Libra Full Moon is:

Where in my life have I spread myself too thin? Taken on too much? When have I not honoured my feelings & emotions? What area in my life can I declutter (beliefs, emotions, thoughts, material things, relationships)?

To keep things balanced (in Libra’s honour) ask yourself:

What is ONE act of kindness you can do – for yourself? And what is ONE act of kindness you can do – for someone else?

Optional questions (if you’re on a roll & into journalling):

What is ONE bad habit you would like to release in order to invoke more time for self love, self care?
What is ONE bad habit you would like to release in order to invite more compassion and love into your life?

Remember to take gentle small steps at a time. Shadow work, as everyone seems to call it these days, is not easy and it’s not quick. Always be kind to yourself. Rembember – you are worth the effort <3

In the CARDS – TAROT AND ORACLE CARD Message & Guidance

The cards drawn (or that fell out!) for us this Full Moon in Libra was “Pleasure & Pain” from the Inner Hue Connected & Free Alchemist’s Oracle Card Deck, and 3 of Cups from The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans.

The Wild Unknown Tarot and Inner Hue Connected and Free Alchemist's Oracle Reading and Guidance

The colours of these cards together remind me of our Sacral Chakra, which is so appropriate with the message of these two cards and also the Libra Full Moon. Our Sacral Chakra governs our feelings & emotions and how we approach pleasure and intimacy.

These two cards together form the message of inner inquiry. To go deep, ask the necessary questions needed for letting go in a loving and compassionate way. Maybe with the help & support from others.

The 3 of Cups talks about celebration, friendships, sisterhood and togetherness. The 3 of Cups also asks the question of “Where in your life can you find joy & pleasure right now?”

The card Pleasure and Pain asks us to stop running away from our pain and the shadows in our lives.

In order to grow and evolve, we must allow change to happen. For change to begin, we must go on an inner journey of discovery to find the answers.

What are you trying to avoid in your life? What are the most difficult questions that arise from time to time but you keep stuffing away for “another day”? What emotions are you ignoring?

Stuffing all of this down or running from our pain and our shadows only result in more pain and suffering. Yes we hear this one ALL the time too!! Hehe..but geez it’s an important one!

Maybe this could be a wonderful time to reach out to someone you feel a connection with and just talk? Or join a sisterhood or circle, where you can find like minded people. And don’t be afraid to see someone professional as they can really help with offering the right kind of support and guidance.

Or maybe you can reach out to someone to offer your help and support. Just make sure you keep things balanced and you keep your own energy stores up as you go.

So maybe this month do one small thing that will spur a change in some area of your life. Maybe change one habit. Or give something away you no longer need. Maybe stop putting yourself down. Or stop putting yourself last.

With one small change of a habit. Or release of emotions. Or by reaching out, we can change our worlds. Sounds so simple but it’s of course not. But it’s so worth it. And it’s ongoing. If we can approach it with compassion and love one small step at a time….we are on our way.

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.” – Rumi
